MEXICO CITY (HPD) — Tropical Storm Lisa formed Monday in the Caribbean, south of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, and is forecast to make landfall, likely as a hurricane, in Central America later this week.
The US National Hurricane Center reported that Lisa had maximum sustained winds of 45 miles (75 kph) and was moving west at 14 mph (22 kph). The center of the storm was located about 300 km (185 miles) south of Kingston, Jamaica.
