INMAN, S.C. (HPD) — Five people were killed in a shooting Sunday night at a home in northern South Carolina, authorities said.
Spartanburg County police and emergency personnel found the victims with gunshot wounds inside a home in Inman, county coroner Rusty Clevenger said in a statement. Inman is located about 100 miles (160 kilometers) northwest of Columbia, South Carolina.
Four people died at the scene and a fifth died while being taken to the hospital, according to authorities.
Spartanburg County deputies said they will not release any additional information about the shooting until the coroner identifies the people killed and notifies their families.
Clevenger said his office is doing autopsies Monday and trying to identify the victims.
