MEXICO CITY (HPD) — At least 25 people were injured when an amusement ride collapsed in a town in southern Mexico, state authorities said Sunday.
The accident occurred on Saturday night at the Expo Fair in the southern municipality of Teloloapan, state of Guerrero, when a mechanical game, known as a “flying swing”, collapsed with dozens of people inside.
In the event, 25 people who were on board were injured, the state Civil Protection Secretariat reported in a statement. The injured were transferred to different health centers.
A video was broadcast on social networks of the moment in which the mechanical game collapsed while some of those attending the fair ran to protect themselves and watched the structure collapse.
