AURORA, Colo. (HPD) — Authorities are searching for the man who fatally shot four people at a home in suburban Denver.
Three men and one woman were killed in the crime that occurred shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday, the Aurora police chief said.
Dan Oates.
Two “very young” children and a woman who is the suspect’s partner were uninjured, he added.
Authorities had issued a restraining order against the suspect, 21-year-old Joseph Mario Castorena, prohibiting him from going to the house or contacting his partner, who lived there.
Police searched Castorena’s home nearby, but did not find him.
“He’s probably considered to be armed, and he’s obviously dangerous,” Oates said.
“There was an accumulation of causes that led to this,” Oates said.
Police used drones to search for Castorena at dawn and were still searching the neighborhood for him on Sunday.
